A trip down memory lane… A drive to Aylmer, Quebec down some old dirt roads surrounded by tall trees hovering the road and you will arrive at this century old family home over-looking the Ottawa River. With secret hallways, the original furnishings, and rich deep history… It is hard not to find yourself taken back down memory lane to your own childhood memories. Nostalgia, love, happiness, remembrance, and magic are just a few of the words I would use to describe this memorable and truly special gathering that was the center-point for remembering the past, living in the present, and holding hands into the future.

SIDE NOTE: Due to this being a personal story I have left out most of the photos I took from our road trip. It saddens me not to be able to share some of them but out of respect of my kids privacy, I will keep them offline. ❤️ My favourite scene that I did…

“Making a formal and lifelong commitment to love and support one another was always a priority for Alisa and I. The process of planning our wedding and shaping it to reflect our values and personalities only helped reinforce our decision. The fact that we are a same sex couple was not a stumbling block, it only opened up a world of possibilities and special moments. On our wedding day Alisa and I entered into a covenant with one another in front of our friends and family, the very people who brought us together and will help keep us together. When I look at these photos I see the joy in everyone’s faces, a joy I am happy to share so that it inspires others.”
As an artist, it means so much to me when I have a connection with the subjects I am photographing. Corrie and Alisa are a breath of fresh air to be around and I am so thankful our paths crossed approximately one year ago. Their June wedding is going to be wonderful. We spent sunset…

Charlottetown was in the far distance on the other side of the water. Such a treat we were in for! The vintage cottage that Eva prepared herself in was over the top special, this was her great-grandmothers house one time ago. The ceremony took place on top of a small bay, which we later ventured down into for portraits.
